Foster McGee, Massage Therapy Student
Foster is currently a student at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy studying to be an RMT, and will graduate in August of 2021.
To Foster movement is everything, it means Yoga, hiking, cooking, swimming, running, rock climbing, gardening cycling, and of course, massage! His own positive experience with massage was what later lead him to consider massage therapy as a career. His approach starts with listening to what a person needs, how they feel, and what their body says. He focuses a therapeutic mind and touch to help improve movement and reduce pain so that others can focus more on the ways that they love to move.
One of Foster’s strongest beliefs about wellness is that movement should be fun and bodies are amazing! Because of this, he believes it is so important to listen to what each person’s life is like to find a way to make adjustments that best support them. While sometimes it’s effective to prescribe specific stretches and exercises, he always strives to make it as fun and accessible as possible. He is a strong believer that sometimes the best medicine is to play with your kids more or go outside for a walk. Education is a powerful tool and he aims to help people learn about their bodies and how to move them effectively.
