Sarah Losier, RD
Sarah has been a Registered Dietitian since 2014. She strongly believes in supporting people to prevent disease and manage health conditions through small, sustainable changes to the way they eat. She has clinical experience in primary care, long term care, and community nutrition. A good portion of her career was spent working as a dietitian in a grocery store, where she was able to teach cooking classes and workshops on healthy eating. She loves this hands-on approach to food and is passionate about finding practical ways to include nutritious foods into your life.
Sarah grew up north of Toronto, Ontario completing her schooling there before moving to BC. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition at Western University, and her Masters of Health Science in Nutrition Communication at Ryerson University. Prior to this she worked as a personal trainer and fitness instructor while completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University. She has had a lifelong love of sports and nutrition, and hopes to pass this on to her young daughters through time spent together in the garden, kitchen and hiking trails on beautiful Vancouver Island.
Sarah is registered as a dietitian in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta, and is also a member of Dietitians of Canada. Since 2019, she has practiced as a Certified Craving Change Clinician. This aspect of her practice helps others to understand how their thoughts and feelings affect their eating behaviours, and guides them to better manage these eating triggers to shift toward a healthier relationship with food. She is currently completing the San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training and strives to practice in a manner that is safe and inclusive for all patients. She looks forward to working with you!
